Back in March, 20th Century Fox released thefirst trailerfor their upcoming adaptationMiss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, based on the beloved book byRansom Riggs. We haven’t seen anything else from this adaptation since then, but today we have eight new posters, which give us a closer look at the main characters. With the movie set for release on September 30, the second trailer is hopefully just around the corner.
These posters debuted onTwitter, featuringEva Greenas Miss Peregrine,Asa Butterfieldas Jake,Ella Purnellas Emma,Cameron Kingas Millard,Lauren McCrostieas Olive, The Odwell Brothers as The Peculiar Twins,Pixie Daviesas Bronwyn andSamuel L. Jacksonas Barron. We’ll have to wait and see if posters are released for the rest of the cast members, includingAllison Janney,Finlay MacMillan,Justin Davies,O-Lan JonesandCameron Greco. It’s possible that this adaptation will be part of 20th Century Fox’s Comic Con presentation, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Asa Butterfieldstars as the 16-year-old Jake, a teen plagued by nightmares following a family tragedy. Taking the advice of his therapist, he sets off on an overseas journey to visit the abandoned orphanage where his late grandfather claims to have stayed as a young child. The place not only turns out to be real, but it is also a gateway to an alternate realm where kids with strange powers are attended too by a magical nanny namedMiss Peregrine(Eva Green).

Written by Ransom Riggs in 2011,Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Childrenwas inspired by a collection of vintage photographs that the author found at various flea markets. This adaptation will be going up against Lionsgate’sDeepwater Horizon, Relativity’sMastermindsand STX Entertainment’sThe Edge of Seventeenwhen it hits theaters on September 30.
