AsAdam Westand theThe Big Bang Theorygang demonstrated last week, ‘who’s the betterBatman?’ is an endlessly debatable topic of discussion. One that doesn’t really have a right answer. But one formerThe Dark Knighttrilogy star certainly knows where he stands when it comes to theChristian BaleVs.Ben Affleckdebate.Morgan Freeman, who playedBruce Wayne’s savvy tech advisor Lucius Fox, is not about to hand the title of best Batman movie over toZack Snyderand hisBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceanytime soon.
Morgan Freemanmade his debut asLucius FoxinBatman Begins, and he still stands by it as the best Batman movie. He doesn’t believe there can be a better interpretation of the DC Comics character, no matter how great the trailer may look. About choosing hisDark Knighttrilogy overBen Affleck’s version of Batman, the actor had this to say.
“You know, I’m happy for Ben [Affleck], but I don’t know how that’s gonna work. Because the ‘Dark Knight’ was almost ‘it.’ Pretty much ‘it.’ Did you see ‘Batman Begins?’ I don’t think you can beat that.”
Christian Bale, who crawled into the Bat cowl three different times, won’t be so bold as to call himself the better Batman. He actually has kinder words forBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He’s looking forward to watching it for the first time. But, on the other hand, he also gives props to his former co-starMorgan Freemanfor speaking his mind and appreciates the kind words in his favor.Christian Baleexplains.
“Everyone brings their own element to that – Ben [Affleck] will do that as well. I think the trailers are looking great and I’m looking forward to that. But right on for Morgan [Freeman] for saying no one will ever be that, I very much like him.”
We’re pretty sureMorgan Freemanhasn’t seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice yet. And he might want to watch his back, as Batfans are insane! They do not take kindly to any disparaging remarks about their beloved Batman movie franchise, no matter who is playing the caped crusader. What is your opinion? Do you think Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice won’t be able to topBatman Beginsand the rest of the Dark Knight trilogy? Or isMorgan Freemantalking out the left side of his bathole?
