AfterBarbiebecamea massive hit in 2023, studios began searching for their own answer to that phenomenon, and Amazon MGM Studios found that with a live-action adaptation of theBratztoy line. With the project coming together, the studio has turned to reality star and sometimes actressKim Kardashianfor a very bad turn.
Per Deadline, Kardashian is close to sealing a deal to portray the villain in Amazon MGM Studios' live-actionBratzmovie. Not only would Kardashian star in the film, but she’ll also serve as a producer on the project alongside the Picturestart banner. Plot details of the film are unknown, but Charlie Polinger and Lucy McKendrick are being tasked with writing the script, and this is a project MGM Studios sought out in a very competitive bidding war. Given the outcome ofBarbie, they believe that the worldwide appeal of the Bratz toy line could lead to great box office success.

As for Bratz, for those who aren’t of age and are unaware of such things, it is a fashion doll and huge media franchise that was created by former Mattel employee Carter Bryant. They debuted in 2001 and have turned into spin-offs that include Bratz Kidz, Bratz Boyz, Bratz Babyz and more. In addition to the dolls, they have also spawned a discography, an animated series, and video games. All told, the toy line has sold more than 200 million dollars worldwide, and it has the biggest social engagement of any toy line in the world.
