The Angry Birds Movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds. Or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
In this hilarious 3D adventure, we’ll finally find out why the birds are soangry. The Rovio video game has been downloaded a massive 3 billion times since it launched in 2009, where users shoot a variety of different birds from a huge slingshot, into various structures that house green pigs, known as the Oinks, who have stolen these birds' eggs. Unfortunately, the game is short on back story, and all we know from playing the game is that these birds want their eggs back, and will crash into anything to make that happen. Thisadaptationwill provide a long-awaitedorigin story, revealing how this rivalry between the birds and the pigs really started.
