We already know that directorJoss Whedonhas no plans for anAvengers: Age of Ultrondirector’s cut. But when the Blu-ray drops in a couple of weeks, we will get to see some of the deleted scenes that didn’t make it into the movie. Fans noticed that there were a lot of unanswered questions inAvengers: Age of Ultronwhen it arrived this past May, especially when it came to Thor and his quest in the movie. Now, we get to see a little bit more of his secondary story in a scene that shows the God of Thunder and Dr. Selvig entering Norn Cave.
Thor is being consumed by visions after having been ‘touched’ by Scarlet Witch. He goes into Norn cave looking for answers, with Selvig there to help document the experience, and assist if anything goes wrong. The doctor sees the mission as nothing but dangerous. That doesn’t stop Thor from trudging ahead. The thing he fears most contains the thing he needs. And he will stop at nothing to get it. He sips from his special elixir, and then takes a dip in the cave lake. It’s here that Thor is possessed, and learns about the 6 infinity stones, including the one in Ultron’s possession, the mind stone. There is only one way to stop Ultron. And that’s a human sacrifice. Of course!
