A brand new logo forAvengers: Endgamehas been revealed. Marvel had been keeping the highly-anticipated movie’s secrets under tight lock and key for some time, as this movie was in production long beforeInfinity Warwas even released in theaters. Last week, they finally gave fans something significant to enjoy in the form of the first trailer, which also came with a title reveal and a first poster. Now, we’ve got yet another new image in the form of a banner, which comes with a new Thanos inspired logo.
The new banner image was recently posted to all of the official social media channels for Avengers 4. It doesn’t come with any major reveals or anything along those lines, but the word Avengers is bathed in Thanos-esque purple and the title Endgame is colored in gold, mirroring theMad Titan’s armor. While Thanos didn’t actually feature much in the movie’s first trailer, it’s inescapably clear that he’s going to be, once again, a major fixture in the sequel, as the remaining heroes are going to want revenge for what he did.
Not that anyone really needs a refresher at this point, butThanossuccessfully managed to gather upall six Infinity Stonesat the end ofInfinity Warand, because Thor didn’t go for the head, he completed his finger snap. That extremely deadly snap wiped out half of all life in the universe, including many of the characters we’ve come to know and love. Spider-Man, Black Panther, Bucky, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange and many, many more. All gone. As Tony Stark once famously said to Loki…
“If we can’t protect the Earth, you’re able to be damn sure we’ll avenge it.”
Indeed, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Ant-Man (who has somehow escaped the Quantum Realm) are going to do their best to Avenger not just the Earth, but the universe. Tony Stark, as we learned, isdrifting aimlessly in spacewith little to no help of rescue. Thanos, who disappeared to a tranquil location at the end ofInfinity Warto nurse his nearly fatal injury, appears to be still living in solidarity. But this logo makes it clear his presence is going to loom large. However, theAvengers: Endgametrailer made it clear that Marvel is going to try to keep as many surprises intact as possible ahead of the movie’s release next year.
Thanos had been built up ever since that famed post-credit scene at the end of The Avengers. Amazingly, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo managed to pay off those very high expectations we all had, not only for him, but forInfinity Waroverall. Can they capture lightning in a bottle twice? Every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan around the world is certainly hoping so.Avengers: Endgameis set tohit theaters on August 20, 2025.
