Everyone is desperate to know when, exactly, the first teaser trailer forBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill strike. Its not unusual that we haven’t seen it yet, as it is still a little less than a year away from release. But fans want it now! Well, if a new rumor pans out, we’ll all have to wait a little longer. The firstBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicetrailer won’t debut in theaters until May 15, whenMad Max: Fury Roadopens wide.

It has been speculated before that Warner Bros. will debut the first official look atBatman v Superman: Dawn of JusticewithMad Max: Fury Road, butCollideris now confirming that as fact. They claim that Warner Bros. wants to get theBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceteaser out of the way ofAvengers: Age of Ultronand the newStar Wars: The Force Awakenstrailer that comes attached to it (according to today’s earlier rumors). DC and Warner Bros. wantAvengers: Age of Ultronto finish breaking records and storming social media before they show the world what they have planned for the new DC cinematic universe.

Batman vs Superman

The strategy seems logical from a marketing standpoint. Two weeks afterAvengers: Age of Ultronopens, that conversation will have died down, and fans will be on to the next big thing. Which Warner Bros. and DC hope isBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. None of this has been confirmed by Warner Bros. or DC, mind you. And asColliderpoints out, minds could change and we could see the trailer earlier. But that’s not likely to happen. However this pans out, its pretty safe to say that we’ll see theBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicebefore summer is over. If things go according to plan, it will finally happen on May 15th.
