We’re more than sure that everyone knows the plot, but just in case: it follows the Simpsons family as they mock American culture and media, and have the tendency to magically predict events from the future, such asRichard Branson’s space voyagein 2014. In the honor of the streaming platform’s anniversary, Disney+ also created newSimpsonsshorts, where the characters hang out with iconic Disney ones, such as Goofy. It appears that the famous show is not going anywhere anytime soon, as the show runner Al Jean wants to keep it going for another several years.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouderis a 2022 revival of an original Disney Channel show, which aired from 2001 to 2005. The plot follows a young girl named Penny Proud and her family as they navigate their lives through the 2020s. Despite adoring the series' needed representation and its lovable characters, the audience also criticized a lot of its aspects. They, for example, raised questions of how Maya felt about her white father being a cop when she’s portrayed as an activist. Furthermore, the way the writers wrote homophobia into the reboot series was a little unrealistic, mostly with how people at school reacted with a certain character’s coming-out. That said,The Proud Family: Louder and Prouderbrought us back to our childhood and deserves a watch.

7High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

Inspired by theHigh School Musicalfilm series,High School Musical: The Musical: The Seriesis a Disney+ creation, which is set at the same East High School, following the school lives of theater kids as they create a musical production for their school. The series was recently renewed for its third season and is set to release in 2022. On top of delivering powerful musical performances, the series is also great at carefully crafting its sweet romances.

6Diary of A Future President

Diary of A Future Presidentfollows a 13-year-old Cuban-American girl named Elena (Tess Romero) as she reads from her diary and aspires to become the next President of the United States. Season two of the series premiered in August 2021, and though many were excited for the upcoming season, the show’s creatorIlana Peña announced its cancellationon Twitter. Though short-lived, if you’re looking for a diverse cast and queer representation, this is the show for you.

Snowdropis a South-Korean television series starring Jisoo of Blackpink and Jung Hae-in as the main leads. The story is set in the pivotal year of 1987 for South Korea, which included the June 1987 Democracy Movement when South Korean citizens took to the streets in protest for fair democratic elections. The Movement eventually led to the establishment of the democratic Sixth Republic of Korea. The takes on this k-drama is divided into two parties: one that admits that they watch Korean dramas for its unrealistic plots, and the other which accuses the producers of distorting history.

4Daredevil

It was only earlier this year whenDaredevil, along with other Marvel shows, left Netflix and became available only on Disney+. Since the show’s finale, it has been confirmed that Mackie will return as Captain America inCaptain America 4. The reason for picking this particular MCU TV series is because of how it showed the two-faced treatment of Black heroes, its tackling of racism, and the beautiful portrayal of a trauma survivor.

Black-ishis an American ABC Family TV series following the Johnson family as they struggle through personal as well as sociopolitical problems. The series was announced to conclude with its eighth season. The show has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, and has become a platform for social commentary, in addition to being foremost a family sitcom.
