Now in its third week in theaters, it has sprinted past DC’sWonder Womanworldwide box office earnings to become the highest grossing origin story super hero movie in history. The Marvel movie shows no signs of stopping and is on track to cross the billion-dollar milestone.

Chadwick Boseman said that nobody knew who paid for their summer courses atOxfordwhile they were attending classes but found out later who their benefactors were. He quickly denied that it was Bill Cosby and instead reveals that Denzel Washington was the person who paid for his courses at Oxford. Boseman said he was really excited to write the thank you letter to Washington and that he had been waiting to meet him ever since he found out about the generous gift that the actor had given him.

Fast forward to theWorld PremiereofBlack Pantherand Denzel Washington was in attendance. Chadwick Boseman says that he approached Washington and told him that he had paid for his acting courses at Oxford. Boseman said, “I got to tell you something… you paid for me to go to school.” Washington nonchalantly replied, “Oh, so that’s why I’m here, you owe me money! I came to collect!” One can tell that Chadwick Boseman loves recalling the story and he’s still grateful that he was able to further pursue his acting education at Oxford University after all of these years.

Black Pantherhas been hailed as acultural and social phenomenonand is still selling out theaters in its third week of release. Chadwick Boseman has been out doing press for the movie and surprised moviegoers during an appearance onThe Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Moviegoers were asked to speak to aBlack Pantherposter featuring Boseman to tell the actor what the movie meant to them, which would later be sent to the actor. However, Fallon and Boseman hid behind a curtain and surprised the fans who were sharing their stories.
