Mother-son duoCherandChaz Bonoare teaming up to produceLittle Bites, an upcoming horror film written and directed by Spider One, perThe Hollywood Reporter. The film unites three well-known names from the horror genre:The Nun’s Bonnie Aarons,Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street’sHeather Langenkamp, andRe-Animator’s Barbara Crampton, and also features Bono, Krsy Fox, Lyndsi LaRose, Mark Kelly, Elizabeth Caro, and John Sklaroff. Spider One, the singer of Powerman 5000 and Rob Zombie’s younger brother, previously collaborated with Bono, Fox, and LaRose on the horror flickBury the Bride.
According to THR, the film “follows Mindy (Fox), a young widow and mother who tries to protect her daughter Alice (Elizabeth Caro) from a flesh eating monster named Agyar (Jon Sklaroff). Mindy has been secretly sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to feast on her body as she keeps Alice hidden away at her grandmother’s house.”
In a statement to the publication, Fox spoke about her character:
“This film serves as a dark metaphor for parenthood and protecting your children at all costs. The stakes are high and the outcome is terrifying and gruesome. I’ve never taken on a character quite like Mindy. Her emotional toll is heavy and it feels as though the world is against her. She’s a hero in the way that any loving parent is. She does whatever it takes to protect her child. I can’t wait to work with this iconic cast and team to bring Spider’s incredible vision for this film to life.”
Spider One and Fox’s OneFox Productions are producing the project. Cher and Bono are joined by Ian Hoge, Tyler Connolly, and Wendy and Mark Berry as executive producers. Production forLittle Bitesbegins later this month in Los Angeles.

Three Horror Icons Join Little Bites
Besides having renowned singer and actress Cher as an executive producer on the project,Little Bitesalso counts on the talent of three horror movie greats: Langenkamp, Aarons and Crampton. Spider One said:
“To be surrounded and supported by such legendary talent and producing partners is quite honestly a surreal experience. There could not be a better team to help me realize the terrifying and heartbreaking tale.”
Aarons is known for portraying the demon nun ValakinThe Conjuring 2, its spinoffThe Nunand its sequel, andAnnabelle: Creation. Her other horror film credits includeDrag Me to Hell, Dahmer vs. Gacy, andJakob’s Wife, and she has also served as a recurring judge onThe Boulet Brothers' Dragulacompetition series.
Langenkamp became a scream queen after her breakthrough role as Nancy Thompson inWes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street. Langenkamp reprised the role during the franchise’s third film and later portrayed a fictionalized version of herself in the 1994 filmWes Craven’s New NIghtmare. She has also been involved with the film franchise through two documentaries; she executive produced and narrated 2010’sNever Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, and starred in and producedI Am Nancy.
Crampton appeared in several horror films through the 1980s and 1990s, includingRe-Animator, Chopping Mall, Puppet Master, andCastle Freak. In recent years, she’s appeared inYou’re NextandWe Are Still Here, and horror series likeChannel Zero: The Dream Door, Into the Dark,andCreep Show.
