DirectorKevin Smithis kicking off the fourth of July with the release of the third official poster forClerks III. When announcing that the first trailer will arrive on July 6th,Smith released the first key artwhich focused on the chewing gum jammed in the lock at Quick Stop Groceries. Asecond posterfocused on the makeshift sign that Dante had placed on the shutters in the original film that assured shoppers that the store was still open.

In the third poster, released by Smith to celebrate “Independents Day,” we get a new look at the film’s returning characters. Dante and Randal are front and center, returning to the Quick Stop following their interim job working at Mooby’s inClerks II. Of course, Jay and Silent Bob are loitering outside of the store, as it just wouldn’t be Quick Stop without them. Elias from the second film can also be seen while we also get a peek at newcomer Austin Zajur.

“HAPPY INDEPENDENTS DAY, as in independent film - like the one I made at Quick Stop Groceries back in 1993 calledClerks,” Smith said onInstagramwhen sharing the poster. “Now in the fall of 2022, you’ll see Dante and Randal do something similar, whenClerks IIIhits the screens! And on WEDNESDAY, JULY 6th, you’ll get your first look at the joyfulClerkstrailer when Lionsgate debuts it worldwide IN 2 DAYS!”

Smith added, “In Poster 3, we see our heroes Dante and Randal (Brian O’Halloran & Jeff Anderson) are back, Jay and Silent Bob are still loitering (with Bob’s briefcase handcuffed to his wrist a’la Elwood Blues and Jay Mewes sporting a New Jersey Devils sweater), and genial Jesus-junkie Elias (Trevor Fehrman) has a new look and a new friend (played by Son-in-Lockdown’s Austin Zajur)! Together, these retailers will face the challenge of a lifetime in an artistic attempt to tell the story of their lives - all while still selling cigarettes and cereal! Clerks III Brings Back Clerks and Clerks II Stars

Clerks IIIwill cap off the trilogy by bringing in characters from the two previous movies. That obviously includes Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson as Dante and Randal, as well as Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes as Silent Bob and Jay. Marilyn Ghiglilotti returns fromClerksas Dante’s ex-girlfriend Veronica alongside co-star Scott Schiaffo as the Chewlie’s representative; Veronica kicked the rep out of the store in the original film when making her entrance. Rosario Dawson also returns as Becky, joiningClerks IIstar Trevor Fehrman in reprising her role as Becky.

There is not currently a release date announced forClerks III. The first trailer will be released on Wednesday, July 6, and with that will come more information about its release.
