Dave Filoni’s Star Wars Movie is Still Happening

While he was busy withAhsoka, it was announced earlier this year during a Star Wars Celebration fan convention that Dave Filoni was developing aStar Warsmovie that would serve to bridge the gap betweenEpisode SixandThe Force Awakens. WhileAhsokaand other Disney+ series likeThe MandalorianandThe Book of Boba Fetthave already helped fill in some of those gaps, Filoni’s new film hopes to do it on a broader scale. He spoke about how his work on previousStar Warsseries has given him the tools to help other filmmakers accomplish their goals.

“To truly help filmmakers, it was really important for me to experience it firsthand. I can also lend a perspective on the challenges that telling these stories will present. I feel more capable of actually being helpful outside of just saying, ‘Well, Jedi are like this, and Sith are like this…'”
