The 12 Days ofDeadpoolcelebration continues, with starRyan Reynoldsunveiling a new treat from his highly-anticipated superhero adventure every day leading up to the big trailer reveal on December 25. If we were going by the traditional 12 Days of Christmas song, the actor would be presenting us with three French Hens. But thankfully, he has something even better in store for fans of the Merc With the Mouth. The actor teamed up withDeviant Artto present his “battle plan,” inspired by the holiday classicHome Alone.
The artwork reveals the design of a seemingly-ordinary home, although there are a number of different weapons set in place to surprise the Merc’s enemies. Some of these traps include a “red-hot spring-loaded nut-punching doorknob,” along with massive cannons, kimodo dragons, medical waste and P.R.O.U.S (Pizza Rats of Unusual Size). There is also a room that features a flamethrower, feathers and hot glue dripping from the ceiling, plus a “booby trap” for a “honey badger” that resembles another mutant from theX-Menuniverse,Wolverine.

Ryan Reynoldsalso released a GIF image ofDeadpoollaying this plan out on a table, where he clears away a number of items, including a set of fake Wolverine claws. It’s worth noting thatHugh Jackmanhimself did tease a possiblecameoappearance inDeadpoolthis summer, but we likely won’t find out for sure if that happened untilDeadpoolhits theaters in February. However, it’s also possible that he could show up in the new trailer that arrives onChristmas Day, so stay tuned.
Fans who are seeingStar Wars: The Force Awakensin IMAX this weekend will be treated to a 27-second tease ofDeadpool, before the full trailer arrives on Christmas Day. There will also be a red band trailer arriving at some point, but we don’t know for sure yet if this will debut the same day, or after the all-ages green band trailer on December 25. The one thing we do know is that this will be a very Merry Christmas for any fan of this outspoken character.
