Marvel is in full-blown public awareness mode for their latest movieDoctor Strange. We are just a few weeks away from the release and in addition to learning more about the movie itself, we are also getting looks at some of the new merchandise that will be released with the movie, like these super cool new blacklight posters. The only problem is you can’t buy them. AMC theaters is giving them away to lucky fans.
The poster itself hasDoctor Strangefront and center looking super focused and serious. We also get a good look at the Eye of Agamotto (which may or may not be an Infinity Gem} along with some really colorful and crazy, other-dimensional imagery along the border. Also, there is a hand releasing a bunch of mystical energy coming out ofDoctor Strange’s head, which is both cool and perhaps a little unsettling. Doctor Strangeis not only going to be a verydifferent kind of moviewithin the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it is going to be a very different kind of comic book movie altogether. The movie will be bringing straight-up magic, as well as the concept of the multiverse, into the MCU, which will open up an entirely new layer to explore in future movies. Not to mention thatDoctor Strange, as a character, is incredibly powerful and will be a powerful ally forThe Avengerswhen they team up inAvengers: Infinity War.
Doctor Strangeboasts anincredible cast, which is being headlined byBenedict Cumberbatch, who is playing Stephen Strange. The supporting cast includesTilda Swinton,Chiwetel Ejiofor,Rachel McAdams,Michael Stuhlbarg,Amy Landecker,Scott AdkinsandMads Mikkelsen.
