Announced in 2023,Elleis a prequel series that will explore the life of Elle Woods in high school before she enrolls in Harvard Law during the events ofLegally Blonde. Witherspoon, who originated the role of Elle Woods in 2001, is acting as producer, withLexi Minetree taking over the role for the prequel seriesproduced by Amazon MGM Studios.

The photo is of star Lexi Mintree as Elle Wood, with her dressed in the character’s signature pink outfit on a pink bed, holding a corded telephone, letting the audience know this is a prequel series. June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott are confirmed to be playing Elle’s parents, Eva and Wyatt Woods, respectively.

WhileLegally Blondemight not have been the obvious pick, the original film’s box office popularity andcultural staying power showed it still holds a lot of value.
