After starring alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in the long-awaited sequel,Freakier Friday, which premiered in theaters earlier this month,Lindsay Lohanis getting ready to take on her next big project. According toDeadline, Lohan will star oppositeShailene Woodleyin the new Hulu limited seriesCount My Lies. Both actresses will serve as executive producers, alongsideThis Is Usshowrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The upcoming drama series is based on Sophie Stava’s debutnovel of the same name, which first hit bookstore shelves on August 14, 2025. Here is the official synopsis of Hulu’sCount My Lies:

“When compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart, it seems she’s finally landed her dream job. But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.”

Not only will Aptaker and Berger write and serve as showrunners onCount My Lies, but the duo will also executive produce the series with Scott Morgan through the production house, The Walk-Up Company.Count My Liesauthor Sophie Stava will produce the limited series, and 20th Television, which is a part of Disney TV Studios, is the studio.

Who Is in the Cast of Hulu’s ‘Count My Lies’?

At the moment, Lohan and Woodley are the only big names attached to the upcoming series. So for now, we don’t know who else will be joining the two lead actresses onscreen for this book-to-series adaptation. Additionally, Hulu has not confirmed a release date for the limited series, so we’re not sure when the show will premiere. But if production starts later this year, we speculate the limited series could be released sometime in 2026. Being thatCount My Lieswill serve as a limited series, we’re confident that the show will not be renewed for Season 2.

Starring inCount My Lieswill be Lohan’s first leading role in a TV show. Of course, the former child star has dabbled in the world of television before. Remember when Lohan made a guest appearance onABC’sUgly Bettystarring America Ferrera? InUgly BettySeason 3, Logan played a guest role for a total of four episodes, but her character was later written off. She has starred in the ABC Family seriesThe Secret Life of the American Teenagerand the Emmy Award-winning seriesBig Little Lies. It has also been announced that Woodley will play a recurring role inSeason 2 ofParadise, the political thriller series helmed byThis Is Uscreator and executive producer Dan Fogelman.
