Famed TV Producer Heather Kadin has decided to part ways with Secret Hideout,Alex Kurtzman’sproduction company, after running the place for 12 years. TheCBSStudios-based production company has now seated Aaron Baiers as the President of Television. Although Heather has already announced her resignation, her exit is still being finalized by Secret Hideout and it is unclear yet whether Kadin would continue as an executive producer on the upcoming Secret Hideout projects that she helped spearhead.
Kadin’s exit from the company is entirely voluntary, as she would like to explore other opportunities.
I’m incredibly proud of what our team, Alex (Kurtzman) and I were able to build at Secret Hideout and at K/O Paper Products… Over the past 12 years I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best writers, actors and directors in television and I‘m excited to build on that in this next chapter of my career.
Alex Kurtzman shared his two cents on Kadin’s leave as well.
Heather and I have spent 12 extraordinary years together, and in that time she’s been a brilliant creative force whose passion and dedication have been felt by the many writers and directors we work with at Secret Hideout… I’m certain she’ll carry that passion into the next phase of her amazing career, I’m so grateful for the time we’ve shared, and I wish her every success and happiness on her bright road ahead.
Before creating Secret Hideout with Kurtzman, she was also the President of Television for its predecessor, K/O Paper Products (owned by Kurtzman and famed screenwriter and producer Roberto Orci). Her exit from Secret Hideout marks the end of her eight a half year journey with CBS/ViacomCBS. Although CBS Studios offered Kadin a producing deal, she has decided to go out and see what the world has to offer her. According to sources, she is open to remaining a producer, either on her own or at a studio, or she might return to her ranks as an executive.
