WhileDeadpoolproved to be an early hit for 20th Century Fox, taking in a whopping $135 million in its opening weekend, many are expectingBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceto surpass that mark when it debuts March 25. Earlybox officetracking has projected that the superhero adventure will take in $154 million, but we still have a long way to go before opening day. As we get closer and closer to the release, Warner Bros. announced through theBatman v Superman Twitterpage that tickets will go on sale February 29, a very important date for one of these heroes.

For those who have followed the history ofSupermancomics, February 29 is not only Leap Day, which only comes around every four years, but it’s alsoSuperman’s birthday. TheMan of Steel’s birthday was first mentioned in Action Comics #149 (Oct. 1950), where it was said to fall sometime in October. However, several comics between the 1960s and 1980s listed February 29 as Kal-El’s birthday, although Clark Kent celebrates his day of birth on June 18, the day he was found on Earth by the Kent family. Now fans will be able to celebrate the Man of Steel’s birthday and buy tickets to his superhero adventure on the same day!

Over the weekend, it was confirmed thatBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicehas a running time of just over two and a half hours, 151 minutes, to be exact. The report came just days after an unconfirmed report claimed that thebudgethas swelled to a massive $400 million, which includes marketing costs. Of course, the budget hasn’t been confirmed by the studio yet, but it’s worth noting that 2013’sMan of Steelcost $225 million to produce, but that doesn’t include marketing costs. While that movie only featured one superhero,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill include many more than just the Man of Steel.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill introduceBen Affleckas the new Batman, alongsideGal Gadotas Wonder Woman.Aquaman(Jason Momoa),The Flash(Ezra Miller) andCyborg(Ray Fisher) will also appear to create theJustice League.
