Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds spent the weekend trollingHugh Jackmanfor Best Friend’s Day. Reynolds has a had a pretty funny obsession with Jackman since 2009 when he portrayed Wade Wilson for the first time. TheDeadpoolactor continuously trolls the formerWolverineactor whenever he can, but it’s all out of love. They’re actually really good friends who enjoy making fun of each other on social media to see who can outdo the other.

Saturday marked Best Friend’s Day, so Ryan Reynolds did what any good friend would do and posted a picture of himself and Hugh Jackman. While the picture looks sweet and wholesome, it’s the caption that ruins everything by saying, “Happy #BestFriendsDay toJake Gyllenhaal! (Not pictured).” Gyllenhaal then served up his own post of himself with Jackman and did the same thing. “Happy #BestFriendsDay to Ryan Reynolds (not pictured),” was the caption of theSpider-Man: Far From Homeactor’s tribute post.

Hugh Jackman decided he was going to get in on the fun too, but his trolling level isn’t as fine-tuned as Ryan Reynolds'. Jackman posted a picture of himself being hugged byRyan Reynoldsand he has an uncomfortable smile on his face. He captioned his photo with, “Stage 4 clinger. #BestFriendsDay #HiJake.” The trio have been having fun at each other’s expense on social media for years now and the fans enjoy watching them interact and lovingly tease their personas. Reynolds usually seems to be the instigator, but Jackman has burned him pretty hard a few times over the past few years. It obviously helps since they’re all some of the biggest movie stars on the planet.

Jake Gyllenhaal is more than likely about to get some trolling since he is finally joining his friends in the superhero movie realm. The actor is playing Mysterio inSpider-Man: Far From Home, which opens in just a few weeks. Now, all three actors have been in Marvel movies, with Gyllenhaal jumping in with Marvel Studios and Sony. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were under theFox umbrella of Marvel properties, which are now back to Marvel Studios for the first time in ages.

Hugh Jackman has said multiple times that he isfinished with the Wolverine role, much to the disappointment of fans and Ryan Reynolds, who has been championing a team-up forever. With that being said, Mysterio andDeadpoolcould possibly cross paths at some point in the future, though even that seems doubtful at the moment. It is unclear when Disney will start to get their latest Fox acquisitions in development and the Merc with a Mouth seems to be an even bigger mystery with his R-rated shenanigans. We’ll just have to wait and see what Disney decides to do with the Fox titles. You can check outRyan Reynolds Instagramalong with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal as they troll each other below.
