Disneyacquired the rightsto theIndiana Jonesfranchise back in December 2013, and ever since then, there have been no shortage of rumors about this project. There was a rumor that surfaced that the studio was eyeing a 2018 release for this project, but it seems that story was off by just a year.

As of now, there doesn’t seem to be a screenwriter attached, but with more than three years left until Indy swings back into theaters, there is still plenty of time to find a writer.
