And the MCU blockbuster has officially crossed the billion-dollar milestone (perDeadline) with $1.029 billion worldwide.As previously reported by MovieWeb,Todd Phillips’Joker(2019) currently holds the record for the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time globally with $1.078 billion, but that record will soon belong toDeadpool & Wolverine —and shortly in the coming days.

Despite the critics’ harsh reactions toIt Ends with Us, which resulted in a Tomatometer rating of only 59%, director and star Justin Baldoni’s romantic drama resonated with moviegoers. The film’s Rotten Tomatoes audience score currently holds at 94%, while its “A-” CinemaScore is almost as good asDeadpool & Wolverine’s“A” rating.

A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

It Ends with Us,which is based on the novel by author Colleen Hoover, started the weekend out strong on its opening day (August 9), and the Lively big-screen adaptation actually outperformedDeadpool & Wolverineto win Friday with $24 million. Meanwhile, the Merc with a Mouth only made $15.7 million by comparison.

However,Deadpool & Wolverineowned Saturday and Sunday with $21.7 million and $16.8 million respectively.It Ends with Usfell behind both days and made $13.7 million and $12.1 million on the same two days in a head-to-head competition between husband and wife.

Borderlands Crashes & Burns During Debut

At the time of this writing,Borderlands’Rotten Tomatoes score is 50%, and its “D+” CinemaScore is dreadful.
