James Gunnhas worked with many people over his career as a writer and director, but that doesn’t mean he will work with everyone. TheGuardians of the Galaxyhelmer recently revealed in a Twitter post that he has a list of actors he won’t work with. Having never been one to hold back his opinions when it comes to the Hollywood machine, Gunn laid out precisely the type of people not on his list of potential collaborators.

Gunn regularly engages with his fans on Twitter, and his latest discussion came in the form of a question from one of his followers, who asked whether the director would instantly recast an actor who was not working out or if they would get a second chance. Gunn replied:

Guardians 3 cast

“If it’s their temperament & it’s serious, I’ll immediately recast. Life’s too short for assholes. Same if they’re repeatedly very late, which I hate, or unprepared. I have a long list of actors, A-list & otherwise, I’ll never work with for these reasons.”

Of course, Gunn wasn’t about to start naming names, but it is quite easy to believe that those actors on his list know that they are on his list. With Gunn currently coming to the end of his Marvel run withGuardians of the Guardian Vol. 3,he is now focusing on his DC projects, and at the moment, he has a select group of people who appear to be on his “good” list.

James Gunn SaysGuardians 3Was Not His Favorite Movie to Shoot

While James Gunn has always stated that he has loved working on theGuardians of the Galaxymovies, the director recently confessed that his final time in the director’s chair was not his favorite experience due to its “size and complexity.” He previously commented on Twitter:

“The Holiday Special was a pure joy. Vol 3 was very difficult for a billion reasons, beginning with its size and complexity. It might be my favorite movie but it probably wasn’t my favorite shooting experience, other than the love I have for the whole team.”

The end of theGuardians of the Galaxyfranchise, at least with the current cast and crew, is expected to be an emotional farewell for a number of much-loved characters, and star Zoe Saldana, who will be reprising her role as Gamora, previously praised Gunn’s work on the movie, but also called the whole experience “bittersweet.” She said:

“It’s bittersweet; after all those years of complaining about that green make-up, I find myself already nostalgic about it. There’s a lot of melancholy here, but also pride that we’ve achieved something great. James Gunn was written a beautiful story, that making us emotional even as we shoot it. Omicron plays a doozy on us every other day, but we’re getting by and we’re happy.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3will hit cinemas in May 2023, while theGuardians of the Galaxy Holiday Specialcomes to Disney+ in December 2022.
