With his latest spy movieAlarum,Scott Eastwoodis continuing to churn out bullet-laced action thrillers. Last year saw him in the Los Angeles period caper1992, trying to pull off the ultimate heist amid the early-’90s Watts riots alongside the late, great Ray Liotta. We’ve seen him in some of the funFast & Furiousflicks and assorted war films, like the excellentFury. Future projects on the horizon include another war film, the highly anticipatedTin Soldier, which alsostars big names like Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Rita Ora, John Leguizamo, Shamier Anderson, and more. Filming took place mainly in Greece two years ago, but there hasn’t been any news about the movie until now. MovieWeb caught up with Eastwood while he was promotingAlarum, and the famed actor took time to weigh in on the status ofTin Soldier.
“It’s going to come out, it’s just where it comes out… The film market was so s*it in the last, like, year and a half, two years. But I think it’s getting better, or at least it should,” Eastwood told us. “The smart money says it wasn’t a great market to sell movies in. I know that [Tin Soldier] was, you know, a pretty substantial movie, and they’re wanting to sell it and get it in the best hands for the best viewership. So there’s some of that going on.”

Eastwood also reflected on his experience and teased hisTin Soldierrole:
“Production was insanity, but the character is cool. I mean, it’s this guy, they gotta go to him because they need to find a way into this cult… like a military cult… Then, the government wants to shut it down, so they have to come back and find this one guy who had been there before. That’s me. And so that’s sort of the character I play.”
