It turns out that Jason Momoa is just as excited as us for Lobo to make his DCU debut, and he very nearly gave the character’s design away while praising the upcoming film.

During an interview with Collider, Jason Momoa was once again asked about Lobo. While many actors can get frustrated and exhausted at being asked the same questions, Momoa was visibly bursting at the seams to show someone what he looks like in costume. “I wish I could show you the picture on my phone right now,” the actor said. This is far from the first time Momoa nearly spoiled his Lobo costume. In an earlier interview with CinemaBlend, the actor came incredibly close to giving away the design of the costume, before his publicist begged him not to.

James Gunn Reacts to Jason Momoa’s Lobo Close Call

The clip of Jason Momoa being desperate to reveal the costume went viral across social media. Being obsessively online himself, DC Studio’s co-president, James Gunn, saw the video and reacted to it on Instagram. Gunn shared a screenshot of the interview on his Instagram story, debating what Momoa said about the body paint, and praising the actor’s publicist for the last-second save. In the interview,Momoa said he will be painted white on the “skin you may see.“Gunn responded, “What do you mean,‘Only the skin you can see?'” He continued:

“I just want to profoundly thank [Jason Momoa’s] publicist [laughing face emoji].”

Major details aboutSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’s wider casting and the film’s plot remain a closely guarded secret at DC Studios, with anyone who leaks them incurring the wrath of Jason Momoa’s publicist. We do know that the film will adapt the comic book run of the same name by Tom King. In the comic, Kara Zor-El tries to establish herself as an independent hero and helps an alien girl get revenge on the people who ruined her life. The official synopsis for the comic reads:

“Her planet was destroyed. Sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who never needed saving. Forever living in his shadow. The “Supergirl” to his Superman. But when Kara is sought out by an alien seeking revenge on those who destroyed her world, everything changes.”
