‘Wednesday’s Return Is Taking Inspiration From the Past
Wednesdayfans are eager to see Ortega return to Netflix in the second season of the acclaimed fantasy drama, and the actress recently teased what is coming in the sophomore season. Season 1 ofWednesdaybecame one of Netflix’s biggest hits, and it looks like Season 2 is going to be even bigger as it will be taking some inspiration from classic movies while continuing to bring that Tim Burton flare to the proceedings.
While speaking abouther new movie,Death of a Unicorn, the actress was asked about the new season ofWednesday, and shared how this time around the show will dig even further into horror even more elaborately than the first season. She said:

“Visually, I can say we have some of the most fun we’ve ever had. It’s crazy to talk about one frame like this, but there is a frame of Pugsley rolling his eyes back with this contraption around his head—that’s all I can say— and it reminds me so much of Full Metal Jacket. It’s insane. So bizarre. I just feel like there are a lot of scenes and frames, and there’s a whole episode based off of slashers, and we make a lot of horror references. So, everything about it, I feel like we kind of had a little bit more trust, and therefore, we felt like we could do bigger, more elaborate sequences, which is nice.”
