The first footage of Johnny Galecki on theRoseannerevival series has officially hit the net. Galecki was the last member of the original cast to sign on and many fans were concerned that theBig Bang Theorystar wasn’t going to be able to participate in the revival series. The actor dispelled rumors that he was holding out for more money and states that he was just simply too busy. Though it was big news when it was announced that Johnny Galecki was back, it’s now confirmed in the brand-new trailer for theRoseannerevival trailer.
In the brief clip, Johnny Galecki’sDavid Healycharacter is back in Darlene’s room where he says, “They kept everything exactly the same as it was when you guys were kids,” looking pretty amused. Sara Gilbert’s Darlene deadpans, “It’s a decorating choice called poverty.” It’s exactly the sort of exchange that you’d expect from the duo who dated on and off throughout the originalRoseannerun. The trailer also features previously unseen footage of D.J. (Michael Fishman) and Darlene discussing credit cards with their parents, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and Dan (John Goodman).
Though the return of Johnny Galecki is definitely exciting for fans ofRoseanne, his part in the trailer isn’t even the best part. The best scene is saved for last and it features Roseanne riding on an electric staircase chair up the stairs. The electric stair lift seems like something that theConner familyshould have had a long time ago. Thechicken shirtis also on display as it has been in almost all of the new promotional material for the revival series.
We previously got a peek at thenew opening creditsfor theRoseannerevival series and it’s an homage to the original run of the show, and yes, it features the chicken shirt and a laughing Roseanne Barr. Throughout the years, the chicken shirt ended up on many different members of the cast, even John Goodman’s Dan character. A behind-the-scenes look at the show revealed that the chicken shirt, along with the instantly recognizable blanket on the couch and some pickled eggs in the pantry were all very important to the returning cast members.
