WhenBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicehits theaters this March, it will not only be the first time that Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) are seen on the big screen together, it will also mark a unique collaboration between two beloved composers. Way back in November 2014, it was confirmed thatHans ZimmerandTom Holkenberg, best known asJunkie XL, will both work on the score.Hans Zimmerwill be crafting the Superman theme whileJunkie XLwill work on the music for Batman. Last night,Junkie XLposted a cryptic Facebook message, which some fans thought meant he would also be providing the score forWonder Woman, but the composer clarified on hisTwitterpage that he will not be scoring this movie.
In a Facebook post that was later removed,Junkie XLwelcomedGal Gadot’sWonder Womaninto a growing group of cinematic female heroes such asMad Max: Fury Road’sFuriosa(Charlize Theron), Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) from300: Rise of an Empireand Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) fromDivergent. SinceJunkie XLprovided the scores for all three of these movies, many assumed that he would be scoringWonder Womanas well. He later removed the Facebook post and clarified on Twitter that he isn’t scoringWonder Woman.

Wonder Womanstarted production in November, but we already saw the first footage from this movie a few days ago during The CW’s new DC Films special. Last year a rumor surfaced thatWonder Womanwill be set in three different time periods and settings. One of these settings is Diana’s homeland of Themyscira, and it is rumored that the Italy portion of the shoot will be used for the Themyscira scenes. It was also recently confirmed that another setting isWorld War I, with the last setting being present day, which will connect the movie to her appearance in the upcomingJustice League Part 1.
Connie Nielsenmost recently signed on to play the title character’s mother Hippolyta. She joins a cast that also includesChris Pineas the title character’s love interest, Steve Trevor, along withEwen Bremner,Robin Wright,David Thewlis,Danny Huston,Elena Anaya,Lucy Davisand Saïd Taghmaoui. No details have been given for the rest of the supporting cast quite yet. There have also been rumors thatSean BeanandEva Greenwere playing the main villains Ares and Circe, but their involvement hasn’t been confirmed either.

Patty Jenkins(Monster) is directingWonder Womanfrom a screenplay byJason Fuchs(Pan), withCharles Roven,Zack SnyderandDeborah Snyderproducing. Principal photography is taking place on location in the UK, France and Italy. No plot details have been revealed yet.
