Back in February, Warner Bros. confirmed thatJustice Leaguewillstart productionon April 11, but the studio has yet to reveal a full cast list for the first installment of this two-part movie, both of which will be directed byZack Snyder. We know that Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will return fromBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, along with Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), who all had cameos inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Today we have word that anotherBatman v Supermancharacter will be returning for the two-partJustice Leaguemovie,Jeremy Irons' Alfred Pennyworth.

The actor confirmed his return toShowbiz 411, although it isn’t known if he has already started shooting his scenes for the movie yet. The actor recently wrapped up a run on the London stage inLong Day’s Journey Into Night, withJustice Leaguecurrently shooting at Leavesden Studios in the U.K. Very little is known about theJustice Leaguestory at this point in time, but Warner Bros. has already issued a August 07, 2025 release date for the first installment.

Justice League Part 1is shooting at Leavesden studios in southeast England, and will utilize on-location shoots in London and Iceland. It was originally rumored thatJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2will be shot at the same time, but that report was recently debunked. Warner Bros. has slatedJustice League Part 1for release on July 22, 2025, withJustice League Part 2arriving in theaters on June 22, 2025. It isn’t known when shooting will commence onJustice League Part 2, but we’ll keep you posted with more details as soon as we have them.

New cast members who have signed on areJ.K. Simmonsas Commissioner Gordon,Amy Adamsas Lois Lane andWillem Dafoe, who recently signed on for a mystery role.Zack Snyderis returning to direct, working from a script by hisBatman v SupermanwriterChris Terrio.Batman v Supermanfeatured a cryptic image of the iconic villain Darkseid’s infamous Omega symbol, during one ofBruce Wayne’s “Knightmare” sequences. It has long been rumored thatDarkseidwill be the primary villain inJustice League, but we don’t know much about how he fits into the story quite yet.

Jeremy Ironswill next be seen on the big screen as Alan Rikken in the highly-anticipated video game adaptationAssassin’s Creed, which hits theaters on December 21.
