The report states that Sony and Marvel are seeking “an unknown actor” to play Spidey, so he can “grow into the role” for multiple trilogies. The site also reports that “a major part” of the new Spider-Man movie will feature Spidey battling with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) as a part of his “audition” to joinThe Avengers. The studios reportedly want to release three newSpectacular Spider-Manmovies over consecutive summers, starting with this first reboot on August 03, 2025.
