To get Chinese fans ready forThe Great Wall, an action-packed 9-minute trailer has debuted, featuring plenty of new footage, introducing several of the main characters, includingMatt Damon’s William Garin. Matt Damonhimself responded to the casting controversy last month, stating it was a “f—ing bummer” and that he was quite surprised to “have those charges levied” against him, especially since it was based on a brief teaser trailer, and not the full movie. The actor went on to state that he doesn’t think people will honestly think the movie was “whitewashed” after they see the entire movie, but he doesn’t think people should be attacking the movie without seeing it first.
