Mean Girlsfollows the story of Cady Heron, a teenager who was educated by her own parents as they lived in Africa while they were leading several research projects. When they decide to settle back in the United States, Cady must go to school for the first time, attending high school. There she meets Janis and Damian, two outcasts with whom she quickly establishes a friendship. One day, during lunch, Cady is invited by Regina George and “the plastic” to eat with them. Janis, who hates Regina, convinces Cady to keep hanging out with the other group in order to tell her all of their secrets.

At the same time, Cady falls in love with Aaron, Regina’s ex-boyfriend, and Regina promises to help her win him over but ends up getting back together with him. So Cady, Janis and Damian put together a plan to overthrow Regina, but the more time Cady spends with the plastics, the more she begins to resemble them, sparking a huge war at school when Regina discovers what they were doing to her.
