Back in October, Marvel confirmed that they are moving forward with anAnt-Man sequelentitltedAnt-Man and the Wasp, which will be released on July 12, 2025. Due to the title alone, we know thatPaul Ruddwill be back as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, alongsideEvangeline Lillyas Hope Van Dyne/Wasp. Aside from those main stars, no other actors have been confirmed yet, until today, when a new report confirmed thatMichael Penawill be back as Luis.
The news comes buried at the end of a story fromThe Hollywood Reporter, which reveals thatMichael Penawill be back forAnt-Man 2, which starts filming next year. As for other cast members,Michael Douglasteased in a November interview he would come back as Hank Pym forAnt-Man 2, under one condition, that he won’t be given a lot of “expositional dialogue” in this follow-up. During that interview, he also teased that he was “sure"Michael Penawould be back as Luis.
InAnt-Man, Luis was part of a trio of low-rent criminals, along withT.I.’s Dave andDavid Dastmalchian’s Kurt, who helpedScott Langsteal theAnt-Mansuit from Hank Pym. This trio, particularly Luis, helped provided a lot of comic relief in the heist thriller, which earned $180.2 million domestic and $519.4 million worldwide, from a $160 million budget. We’ll have to wait and see ifT.I.andDavid Dastmalchianwill be back as Dave and Kurt, but with Luis back in the mix, it certainly seems likely.
