The Marvel shows that previously streamed at Netflix are seeing some of their characters getting new life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving fans to wonder who could be the one that shows up next. We have already seen Charlie Cox return as Daredevil on both the big and small screens with appearances inSpider-Man: No Way HomeandShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Meanwhile, Vincent D’Onofrio has also reprised his role as Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk inHawkeyeand is set to reunite with Cox for the upcoming Disney+ seriesDaredevil: Born Again. It’s only natural for fans to wonder ifMike Coltercould soon be showing up to reprise his titular role fromLuke Cageat this point. The actor, who can be seen in the new filmPlanewith Gerard Butler, was asked in aComicBook.cominterview if he’s been keeping in shape just in case he gets that call from Kevin Feige. Colter gave a response that cast doubt on a return, as while he says that getting that call would be “great,” he’s just as happy to see someone else continues on with the role, as his schedule as it stands now is pretty full as it is anyway. From the interview:
“I just attempt to stay in reasonable shape just because, but I don’t think about Luke Cage opportunities. It’s one of those things where it’s in the rear view mirror at this point. If somehow I get a call, my dance card is kind of full. But if I get a call, something happens, great. I had a good time. I’m happy, more than happy, to let someone else take on that mantle or that role. That character’s living on for a long time. Fans are going to have that character in one way, shape, or form for the rest of their lives, and I’m happy to have been a part of that for those guys.”
