Just ahead of the streaming release ofDAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Netflix has released a second full trailer. The limited series, featuringEvan Petersas the notorious serial killer, revisits Dahmer’s crimes as experienced by his victims and their families. It premieres on Netflix on Sept. 21, and followingthe prior trailer, you can get a new sneak peek by watching trailer #2 below.
The official logline for the series reads: “Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer gruesomely took the lives of seventeen innocent victims.DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Storyis a series that exposes these unconscionable crimes, centered around the underserved victims and their communities impacted by the systemic racism and institutional failures of the police that allowed one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his murderous spree in plain sight for over a decade.”

“Honestly, I was very scared about all of the things that he did, and diving into that and trying to commit to that was absolutely going to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life, because I wanted it to be very authentic, but in order to do that, I was going to have to go to really dark places and stay there for an extended period of time,” Peters recently said of taking on the role in a BTS video.
The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The two also executive produced with Peters, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Janet Mock, and Carl Franklin. Rashad Robinson (President of Color Of Change) served as consulting producer.

DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Storystars Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer with other starring cast members including Richard Jenkins as Lionel Dahmer, Molly Ringwald as Shari Dahmer, Michael Learned as Catherine Dahmer, and Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland. All five have gotten brand new character posters along with guest stars Penelope Ann Miller (Joyce Dahmer) and Dyllón Burnside (Ronald Flowers).
Other guest stars include Michael Beach (Detective Murphy), Colby French (Detective Kennedy), Shaun J. Brown (Tracy Edwards), Mac Brandt (Officer Rauth), Grant Harvey (Officer Mueller), Matthew Alan (Officer Gabrish), Scott Michael Morgan (Officer Balcerzak), Josh Braaten (Young Lionel Dahmer), Savannah Brown (Young Joyce Dahmer), Nick A. Fisher (Young Jeffrey Dahmer), and Cameron Cowperthwaite (Steven Hicks), among others.
