Actress Natalie Portman hosted last night’s episode ofSaturday Night Live, where she appeared in a rather hilarious sketch that skewers the hit Netflix seriesStranger Things. The sketch is presented as a “preview” forStranger ThingsSeason 3, with Natalie Portman playing the iconic Eleven character, with Mikey Day playing Finn Wolfhard’s character Mike Wheeler. The clip begins with a reference to their kiss in Season 2, before it takes a hilarious turn.
The clip goes on to show Beck Bennett pointing a gun at the duo, before Eleven uses her powers to relieve this mystery man of his gun, which causes her nose to bleed. The mystery man goes on to reveal that he’s “special” like her, withElevenexplaining how she can move objects with her mind, but it gives her, “tiny nosebleeds.” Beck Bennett’s character announces that he is Fourteen, and that he can start fires with his mind, but each time he does, he “throws up a little bit” in his mouth, which he demonstrates by lighting a candle.
After the mystery firestarter leaves, Mike tries to coerce Eleven into making out yet again, before another new character, Nine (Cecily Strong) shows up, who shows off how she can read people’s minds, but it makes her fart. Pete Davidson is then shown as Five, who can run fast like The Flash, but every time he does, he gets a boner. Other characters include Aidy Bryant’s Eighteen, whose power is that she can do a “pretty good"Boratimpression, but every time she does, she goes into a coma for two days. Since the realSeason 3 is delayed to 2019, this hilarious sketch is the closest thing fans will get until Season 3 arrives.
