Star Wars' Anakin Is Among The Top 1,000 Baby Names
Every year, the Social Security Administration releases a list of the most popular boy and girl baby names in the United States, and it seemsStar Warsfever is so high that it’s carrying over into the delivery room. The organization released its Top 1,000 baby names for 2014, and Anakin is on the list, at 957. The list states that 218 boys in the U.S. were born with that name. Luke was the 28th most popular name with 10,431 babies, while, on the girls' side, Leia was the 509th most popular girl name, with 605 newborns given that name. Another notable entry on the girls' list is Khaleesi fromGame of Thrones, which took 755th place on the list with 368 babies given that name.
