X-Wingpilot Nein Nunb has not run his last mission yet. The popular side character is expected to return inStar Wars: Episode VIIIafter having helped blow up the Starkiller Base inStar Wars: The Force Awakens. The actor behind Nein Nunb, Mike Quinn, has had to cancel a con appearance so he can be on set this February.
We announced earlier this week that bothTim Rose, who playsAdmiral Ackbar, andPeter Mayhew, who plays the legendary wookie Chewbacca, had to pull out ofPensaConto shoot a secret project, which is undoubtably Star Wars: Episode VIII. Now comes word that Mike Quinn is also needed back on set. This is the official statement fromPensaCon.

“So, more bad news this morning. Mike Quinn has to cancel his appearance as well. A certain movie is calling…”
As one of theResistancepilots who didn’t die during the raid on the Starkiller Base, Mike Quinn had previously stated that he would most likely be back in some capacity for Star Wars: Episode VIII. And now that seems to be confirmed.Jessica Henwick, who playsJessika Pava, is still expected to appear atPensaCon, but it sounds likely that she will also be called into the line of duty as Star Wars: Episode VIII begins production.

We’ve heard that Star Wars: Episode VIII will start shooting this month, and it sounds like things will be up and running by February 19, which is the first day of this convention. It sounds like scenes featuring Admiral Ackbar, Nein Nunb and Chewbacca are being shot first. But it isn’t known how important they are to the overall story. Last september, directorRian Johnsonshot scenes for Star Wars: Episode VIII on Skellig Michael Island in Ireland featuringMark Hamillas Luke Skywalker.
It has been speculated thatJoonas Suotamowill completely take over forPeter Mayhewat some point, but for now it looks like the original Chewbacca will be appearing in all three new trilogy movies.Joonas Suotamomay go it alone when it comes to theStar Wars Anthology: Han Solomovie, but that hasn’t ever been confirmed or denied. What do you think? Are you happy to see Admiral Ackbar and Nein Nunb back for their third live-action movie?
