Reportedly, Jade’s parents pushed her into going to college, allegedly bribing her way in to secure her spot at the prestigious university. “She has been passionate about her career and wanted to work and was doing well but that wasn’t enough,” the unnamed source tells ET. “Her parents said she would have to juggle college and her career. Now she’s devastated because everything she built implode before her eyes. She feels they ruined everything.”

Along with actress Felicity Huffman, Loughlin was one of the most well-known suspects charged in the case, and has endured the bulk of the negative media attention surrounding it. Loughlin and her husband allegedly spent $500,000 in bribes to ensure the placement of both of their daughters into the University of Southern California. The payments would guarantee their admission as part of the college’s rowing team, although neither girl had ever participated in the sport. The pair are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
