Life at Litchfield is about to become more complicated in the fourth season ofOrange Is the New Black. Netflix has just released the intense new trailer, teasing all 13 new episodes launching Friday, June 17 on the streaming giant. FromJenji Kohan, the creator ofWeeds,Orange is the New Blackis a thought-provoking, funny and evocative show about life in a women’s prison. Based on the best-selling memoir byPiper Kerman, the newest season ofOrangedelves into the racial and economic tensions that run rampant in the halls ofLitchfield. Overrun with new inmates and overseen by inexperienced guards, the prison undergoes an unprecedented culture war.
Netflix and Lionsgate announced back in Feburary that the original seriesOrange Is the New Blackhas beenrenewedfor three additional seasons onNetflix. FollowingOrange is the New Black Season 4, additional seasons5,6and7will premiere in future years.Orange Is the New Black Season 1throughSeason 3are now streaming on Netflix. Concurrently, it was announced thatJenji Kohanhas committed to continue asOrange Is the New Black’s executive producer and showrunner for seasons5,6and7.
