The stars aligned in Hollywood last night for the world premiere screening ofStar Wars: The Force Awakens, just days before it hits theaters on Friday. The festivities on thered carpetwere streamed live for fans all over the world, but in case you missed out on this epic event,Walt Disney Studioshas provided us with more than 500 photos from this premiere. DirectorJ.J. Abramswas joined by the entire cast, along with a number of other actors and filmmakers representing the Holllywood elite and die-hardStar Warsfans alike.

The stars were even joined by a few robotic guests as well, with the beloved droidsBB-8, R2-D2 and C-3PO walking the red carpet last night. Other Hollywood stars who attended the premiere includeModern FamilystarSarah Hyland,Brendan Gleeson, the father ofStar Wars: The Force AwakensstarDomhnall Gleeson, Diane Sawyer and the creator of theStar Warsuniverse,George Lucas. The studio also provided a number of photos from the after party, which includes one shot ofJohn Boyegapictured alongside one of Disney’s other rising stars,Chadwick Boseman, who will playBlack Panther.

Star Wars: The Force Awakenswill introduce three new heroes into theStar Warsuniverse,John Boyega’s Finn,Daisy Ridley’s Rey andOscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, along withAdam Driver’s villainous Kylo Ren.Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker),Harrison Ford(Han Solo) andCarrie Fisherare also reprising their iconic roles from the original trilogy, although very little is known about their characters. TheStar Wars: The Force Awakenssupporting cast includesDomhnall Gleesonas General Hux,Lupita Nyong’oas Maz Kanata,Gwendoline Christieas Captain Phasma,Andy Serkisas Supreme Leader Snoke andMax von Sydowas an unidentified character.

Earlier today, we showed you a handful of theearly reactionsto the premiere, which thankfully don’t feature any major spoilers. One of the biggest secrets surrounding the film involvesLuke Skywalker, who hasn’t been featured in any of the trailers, photos or other bits of footage released thus far. His absence has fueled several rumors about what he’s been up to sinceStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, none of which have been confirmed, although many are quite intriguing. We do know that Luke Skywalker will return inStar Wars: Episode VIII, under the direction ofRian Johnson.
