Every decade has had a standout gangster movie. The ‘70s hadThe Godfather, the ‘80s hadScarface,the ‘90s hadGoodfellas, the 2000s hadAmerican Gangster, and the 2010s hadThe Irishman.Goodfellasis especially memorable because of the soothing voiceover narration and memorable lawbreaking characters, some of whom provide comic flavoring. The film is considered Martin Scorsese’s chef-d’oeuvre and was nominated for six Oscars at the 63rd Academy Awards. In line with that, there is a consensus among genre fans that it is the best gangster movie of the 1990s....

I hate musicals, I really do. I can’t deal with watching a scene unfold on stage and then all of a sudden someone bursts into song and starts dancing about the stage with a stupid smile on their face that makes them look like a Wal-Mart greeter. People just don’t do that in life. So why would I have any interest in a show likeRise? Two words for this TV geek, Jason Katims....

Anthony Michael Hall will be making a guest appearance in the flashback episode ofRiverdale, playing Principal Featherhead. The name of the episode is The Midnight Club, which is a play on 1985’sThe Breakfast Club, which starred Hall and Molly Ringwald, who now plays Archie’s attorney mother Mary Andrews in the hit series. Hall’s Principal Featherhead character is drawn into a game played by his students in the highly anticipated flashback episode....

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, has now revealed several intriguing insights into the upcomingShe-HulkDisney+ series, giving us a much better idea of what to expect from the tone of the show. Feige described the series as a “half-hour legal comedy,” and something that Marvel Studios has “never done before.” He further revealed that the show will take inspiration and “stay true” to writer-artist John Byrne’s 1980sShe-Hulkrun, which took a semi-satirical approach to the character, even making her one of the few Marvel characters who can break the fourth wall....

Kraven the Hunteris in the midst of production as filming is now underway on the upcoming feature. A part ofSony’s universe of Marvel movies, which includes theVenomfilms along with the upcomingMorbius,Kraven the Hunterfeatures Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular Spider-Man foe. Though Kraven is typically depicted as a villain inSpider-Mancomics, the film may present him as more of an anti-hero, similar toVenomandMorbius. Disney has, by most accounts, done a fine job so far with theStar Warsuniverse since purchasing Lucasfilm in 2012. But there is always room for improvement.
