Scooby-Doois back, but it won’t be how you left it. Netflix is officially tackling the next live-action adaptation of the beloved franchise,this time in the television format. In the early 2000s, there were famously two live-actionScooby-Doomovies made for the big screen, which eventually gained a cult status in the following years. However, Netflix is attempting to make the first modern spin on the property in live-action, this time following the blueprint set by other Hanna-Barbera TV adaptations....

A newGhost Riderproject is reportedly in development at Marvel Studios. Nicholas Cage originally took on the role of Johnny Blaze in the first big screen adaptation and its sequelSpirit of Vengeance. Both movies were done under the Sony umbrella, but the rights have since moved back over to Marvel Studios, who reintroduced the character in season three ofAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.with Gabriel Luna in the role. Luna’s performance was praised by Marvel fans and a spin-off Hulu show was said to be in development and later shelved....

Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for their newSpider-Mananimated series, although we may have to wait a bit longer to see this web slinger in action. This announcement video doesn’t feature any actual footage of the new Spidey, although it does confirm that theanimated serieswill be debuting on Disney XD sometime this summer. The cable network has not announced a premiere date yet, but that announcement may be coming soon now that we have this sneak peek....
