One week from today, the wedding everyone will be talking about is set to happen when Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) tie the knot a seconde time onThe Big Bang TheorySeason 10 premiere. As the countdown continues towards this big event, we have new photos from the season premiere, giving us our first look atKatey Sagalas Penny’s mother, andJack McBrayeras her brother. If that wasn’t enough, we have a wedding photo with both sides of this new family, plus a look at a supercut of your favorite Leonard and Penny moments.
The premiere will also mark the return ofJudd Hirschas Leonard’s father, who was introduced last season, andChristine Baranskias Leonard’s mother. Along with these photos, Entertainment Weekly also got to speak with executive producer/showrunnerSteve Molaro, who revealed that tensions are high in Penny’s family. Her brother, the drug dealer Randall, has found himself in quite a bit of trouble leading up to the wedding. Here’s whatSteve Molarohad to say below.
“Penny’s close with her dad [Keith Carradine]. As we know, her brother Randall has been a bit of trouble over the years, selling drugs and being in and out of jail, and that’s put a lot of stress on her mom. You will pick up on the tensions between her mother and her brother very quickly, and you get a glimpse of Penny and her dad being caught in the middle of that.”
In a separate interview with TV Line,Steve Molaroalso told some stories from the set, revealing thatJohnny Galeckikept texting him from the soundstage just to say that the cast was “simply having the greatest time.” With the addition of all theseguest stars, one might think that some characters won’t get a chance to shine, but that isn’t the case. Here’s whatSteve Molarohad to say about this episode, which clocks in at just over 20 minutes, adding he hopes to bringJack McBrayerandKatey Sagalback for more episodes.
“Every character on the show has something great to do, (their time) got nicely distributed. Now that they are officially members of theBig Bang family, we would love to have them come back so we can service them with more time and energy than we could in the premiere.”
These new photos below also give us our first look at another new guest star,Breaking BadstarDean Norris. We reported last month that the actor is playing Captain Williams, a tough Air Force representative who is interested in the roommates' quantum gyroscope for military applications. The character will be featured in the first three episodes of the new fall season.
