Earlier this month, he appeared on the British chat show This Morning, where hereaffirmed that he doesn’t knowwhat the future holds for his character, but he would love to set sail again for another big-screen adventure, especially if his original costars were onboard for it. He said there have “been talks” but he is still uncertain about what will happen:

“Well, I don’t know, I can’t say anything at the moment because I really don’t know. I think they’re trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it’d be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we’ll see where it lands.”

The “band” that Bloom refers to more than likely includes Kiera Knightly, who played Elizabeth Swann in the series. However, the actress previously stated that she would not return for another film as she was happy with her character’s ending. Depp, however, has expressed regret over not being able to give his character a proper swansong.
