Wubbalubbadubdub! As we all know good and well by this point in time, Cartoon Network’sRick and Mortywill be returning for more episodes this November after it was signed up for a further 70 episodes (!) last year for Adult Swim. But it looks like the co-creator of the cartoon, Justin Roiland - who created the show alongside Dan Harmon - is somehow discontent with ruling the animated airwaves and wants to make a movie as well. Roiland revealed that he’d ‘love’ to bring the series to the big screen while out and about promoting his company’s first video game, ‘Trover Saves The Universe’ with a Reddit AMA session.

You see, what had happened was, at one point during the Justin Roiland Reddit AMA a fan asked him if there will ever be a “totally bananas” rated R feature-lengthRick and Mortymovie. And Roiland replied.

“I would love to do that, yeah. Hmm. Hmmmmmm.”

As you might imagine, from there, the crowds went wild. One user even put on his cleverCommunityhat, writing this.

“Six seasons and a movie! And then four more seasons.”

Nice one, kid. Anyhow, let it be known here and now that as fun as this news is, there are currently zero concrete plans for turning theAdult Swim seriesinto a motion picture. But if you’re able to’t wait for a film, no worries, as mentioned above, the creators confirmed the show would return in November. After the historic renewal announcement, Roiland told Polygon back in June of last year.

“We’re super excited that, for the first time ever, we’re locked in, we know what the future is, we have job security. Harmon is in great spirits, and we have a great writer’s room. We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster. We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It’s going to be really cool.”

For those of you that might not know, the hit series follows the adventures of asociopathic scientist named Rick Sanchezwho, after having been missing for nearly 20 years, suddenly moves back in with his daughter Beth, her husband, Jerry, and his grandchildren, Morty and Summer. Rick begins using the family garage as his personal laboratory, concocting several sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous, to say the least. He also goes on adventures across the universe.

Theadult animated science fiction sitcomwas created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and premiered back in December 2013. It features the voicework of Roiland as Rick Sanchez & Morty Smith, Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith, Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith, and Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith.
