ActressRosario Dawsonappeared at Fan Expo Boston this past weekend, and much to the delight of fans, she discussed developments on the second season ofStar Wars: Ahsoka. During a panel conversation hosted byCollider’s Steve Weintraub, Dawson discussed what she has learned about the new season, although she was careful not to divulge any spoilers.
The biggest question surrounding new episodes is when filming will begin. That would give eager fans a clue as to when new episodes would likely make it to Disney+. However, Dawson said that her conversations with series creator and writer Dave Filoni hadn’t yielded any details about the start of production.

“You know what’s so messed up about that, that’s the question I asked him the most,” she said. “And that’s the thing he’s not been forthcoming about. I asked a million times when we were gonna be shooting and suddenly that was the one thing he didn’t hear.”
Ahsokawas officially renewedfor a second season in January, but nothing else about the future of the series was revealed. Dawson does admit that she knows some additional details about what’s next for her character, but she’s not revealing anything yet. She told Weintraub:

“He told me a lot of other details that you would find very juicy that I cannot repeat, but I was totally tantalized to hear.”
Ahsoka’s 10 Best Moments From Every Star Wars Show, Ranked
Ahsoka Tano has appeared in a number of Star Wars media, and throughout them all, she has had some incredible moments.
Surprisingly, Dawson revealed that her discussions with Filoni about the new season didn’t take place at Lucasfilm, but at a convention. As she explained:

“It was right when we did this panel with Hayden Christensen and Natasha Liu Bordizzo in LA, and he’s just like, ‘I was not expecting this,’ like he just starts going on. ‘I didn’t outline…’ He’s saying all this stuff and there was this security guard not that far from us, and I was like, ‘if he can read lips, we’re in trouble.'”
Dawson and Christensen: A Friendship Older Than the Prequels
During the panel, Dawson also discussed her long-time friendship with Hayden Christensen, which dates back well before he was cast as Anakin Skywalker inEpisode II: Attack of the Clones. The two met in acting class nearly thirty years ago, and they’ve been friends ever since.
“Then just a few years later, he got Anakin,” she said. “Then we did a film together a few years after that (Shattered Glass). So there’s these pictures that Dave talks about, that blew his mind to see us as young people, knowing each other.”

Dawson had previously voicedher hope to work with Christensen againin season two, although his participation has not been confirmed.Their pairing was a highlight of season one, and with Filoni writing the second season, the possibility of a reunion is highly possible.
Even without the return of Anakin, Dawson is excited about the future for Ahsoka, and still cannot believeshe’s a key member of theStar Warssaga. “Being able to name Grogu, doing the Force, I think the first time, doing that with the stone, and how they made that happen was just unbelievable. All of it. It just blows my mind. Every second of every day is magic,” she said.
