The TV landscape is becoming just as populated with reboots and revivals as the film industry, and Fox is easily one of the biggest perpetrators of this trend. The network brought back its beloved action-drama series24with the event series24: Live Another Day, and now they are set to bring backThe X-Fileswith another new event series, debuting this coming January. While we wait to see the next show that will be brought back from the dead,Frankie Munizsuggested on hisTwitteraccount that he wants to bring back his hit sitcomMalcolm in the Middle. Here’s what the actor had to say yesterday.

“How fun would “Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis” be? I wonder what Malcolm and his family would be up to now!”

When asked if there were any official discussions about bringingMalcolm in the Middleback to the airwaves, the actor said he was just “gaging interest.” The series followedFrankie Muniz' title character, who tries to survive amidst his chaotic family, including his father Hal (Bryan Cranston), mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and brothers Francis (Christopher Masterson) and Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan). The series ran for six seasons, between 2000 and 2006.

Of course, if there was interest from the network in bringingMalcolm in the Middleback, the whole cast would likely have to be involved.Bryan Cranstonwent on to become a huge star inBreaking Bad, and he will next be seen on the big screen in the upcoming biopicTrumbo, where he plays screenwriterDalton Trumbo. He also lends his voice toKung Fu Panda 3, DreamWorks Animation’sanimated sequelthat hits theaters next January.

As for the rest of the cast, Jane Kaczmarek went on to star in TNT’sRaising the Bar, and she currently stars in USA Network’s Playing House. Christopher Masterson most recently had an arc on Syfy’sHavenlast year, but Erik Per Sullivan hasn’t acted since 2010’sTwelve. Back in 2013, shortly after theBreaking Badfinale aired, an"alternate ending"surfaced whereBryan Cranstonwoke up from a vivid dream, describing his drug-dealing ways as Walter White to Jane Kaczmarek, which connectedMalcolm in the MiddletoBreaking Badin a humorous fashion.

As of now, we don’t know whether or not the rest of the cast has any interest in bringingMalcolm in the Middleback to the small screen. It’s worth noting also thatFrankie Munizis only 29 years old, which makes him a bit too young to have a “mid-life crisis.” It also isn’t known if series creator Linwood Boomer would come back to create a new sequelTV series, but we’ll have to wait and see if there’s enough interest. Would you like to seeMalcolm in the Middleon your TV once again?
