SNLstar Bobby Moynihan is featured in this sketch as an intensemotion captureactor who portrays one of Daenerys Targaryen’sdragons, Drogon, who gets a little too close for comfort in a scene withPeter Dinklage.Game of Thrones. This sketch also featuresKate McKinnonas Daenerys and Taran Killam as Jorah Mormont from the hit series. While it seems unlikely that this is how the actual dragons are created on the show, this sketch is quite hilarious nonetheless.
Unfortunately, none ofPeter Dinklage’sGame of Thronesco-stars joined him in New York this weekend, and this sketch sadly didn’t give fans details about these secretive new episodes. Last night’s episode comes just three weeks before theGame of Thrones Season 6premiere on Sunday, April 24 at 9 PM ET on HBO. It isn’t known if HBO plans on releasing more trailers before the premiere, but stay tuned for more fooage.
We last saw Tyrion at the end ofSeason 5, shortly after Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) fled the city of Meereen after another assassination attempt by the Sons of the Harpy. In the season finale, it was agreed that Tyrion stay in Meereen and rule the city, with help of Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) and Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel). At the same time, Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) and Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) take off on a journey to find Daenerys, but we saw in the latest trailer that they only found the ring Dany left behind, before she was captured and enslaved by a group of Dothraki soldiers.
