Saturday Night Liveended 2018 with a special parody ofIt’s a Wonderful Life, which imagined the world without Trump as president. The 1946 movie is a holiday classic about a man who contemplates suicide on Christmas Eve, only to be stopped by a guardian angel who shows him how beautiful life is while also showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born. Donald Trump is in the middle of some pretty big controversies at the moment, so the sketch sees him wishing that he was no longer the president.

Alec Baldwin returned toSaturday Night Liveto reprise his now infamousTrumpimpression, which the president does not enjoy. Baldwin’s Trump is approached by his guardian angel Clarence, played by Kenan Thompson, who shows him how his friends and family would be had he not won the 2016 election. Hilary Clinton wins in the parody after visiting Wisconsin only one time and Kellyanne Conway is feeling great because she can once again talk to her husband while Sarah Huckabee Sanders is now the head of a PR firm, thanking Trump.

Donald Trump learns that his friends and family are all doing a lot better without him running the country.Ben Stilleras Michael Cohen shows up and isn’t going to jail anymore, calling Trump his best friend.Matt Damonas Brett Kavanaugh is back, but instead of being on the Supreme Court, he’s out to party and drink all of the beer he wants.Robert De Nirois back as Robert Mueller, head of the Special Counsel investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections and related matters. Since Mueller no longer has to investigate Trump, he can spend more time with his family.

TheSaturday Night Liveparody ofIt’s a Wonderful Lifeis nearly 9 minutes long and receives some pretty big laughs from the crowd. Donald Trump is not happy about the parody at all. He tweeted about the episode early this morning, letting the world know how he feels about the show and the “fake” news media. Trump had this to say.

“A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines likeSaturday Night Live. It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal? Only defame & belittle! Collusion?”

Saturday Night Livehas poked fun at every president since the show debuted in the late 1970s, but Donald Trump still doesn’t care for the show. Will Ferrell’s take on George W. Bush went on for two terms and he even developed a one-man show out of the material that he accumulated over the years. If Trump gets re-elected in 2020, he’s going to have to endure a lot more of people having fun at his expense.
