In the 1990s, Space Ghost was brought back as a host for his own fictional late-night talk show,Space Ghost Coast to Coast, on Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and GameTap. Then, in the 2000s, he was revamped as a serious superhero once again in a mini-series by DC Comics.

Now, it seems like the character could finally get the live-action treatment with Jason Segel. While speaking on the20 Questions on Deadline Podcast, the actor confesses he’s been writing a script for the character in secret.
“There’s a character called Space Ghost who I really loved as a kid. He was like a 1960s superhero. He then was resurrected on Comedy Central as an ironic talk show host. So I wrote a live-action version of that that I would love to make”.

Velma, a Different Side of Hanna-Barbera’s Classic
Space Ghost is not the only Hanna-Barera character ready to make his comeback. A few days ago, a new series based on Scooby-Doo’s characterVelmadebuted on HBO Max,generating mixed reactions, to say the least, especially from the old fans of the franchise.
Mindy Kaling is the star, writer, and produces this new story of the intelligent and pragmatic girl we met back in 1969, who was part of a huge franchise that offered TV shows, movies, and merchandise.
Far from the initial children’s series,Velmapresents itself as an adult show that offers an alternate universe origin story for Mystery Inc., pitched as a “love quadrangle” between them. It primarily focuses on Velma Dinkley as she tries to solve a mystery regarding her mother’s disappearance, as well as the numerous murders of local teenage girls.
Despite the critics, the series became one of HBO Max’s biggest openings, and is reportedly already working on a second season that will expand the universe of Scooby-Doo and bring it to new audiences.
